Sri Lanka Golf Union (SLGU) is the sole controlling body for the sport of Golf in Sri Lanka as recognized by the Ministry of Sport, as well as by the R&A and USGA which are the world governing bodies for Golf. 

SLGU is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of:

Accounts Assistant

Job Role:

• Assisting with the general day-to-day duties within the Accounts Department
• Processing Payments
• Disbursing Petty Cash
• Managing floats
• Custody of inventory of golf equipments
• Liaising with the Treasure and the Accountant of tax and treasury matters
• Filling all tax returns (in the future we may have VAT/Tax Returns)
• Bank Reconciliations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidate should be a student in an accounting body or an undergraduate
• Candidate should have minimum one year experience with an audit firm
• Must be competent in MS Office packages including Excel and exposure to an accounting software would be an added advantage
