Serendib Leisure is a subsidiary of Hemas Holdings PLC and one of the pioneers in the field of hotel management. We currently own and manage the well-known Club Hotel Dolphin Waikkal, Hotel Sigiriya and are also franchise holders of Anantara and AVANI, the international hotel brands.

In keeping with our ambitious growth agenda with our international partner Minor Hotel Group (MGH) of Thailand, we recently opened our first profile Anantara property in Tangalle, and Anantara property in Kaluthara which is due to open early next year.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated HR Professional with the right attitude to support our vision of 'leadership in service excellence' to join our properties.

Human Resources Manager / Assistant HR Manager

He/ She will be mainly responsible for,

  • Implementing the HR politics and procedures
  • To plan, direct and coordinate all human resource management activities of the hotel with a view to maximising the strategic use of human resources and to achieve optimum levels of employee engagement within the Hotel
  • Employee recruitment, compensation management, compensation management, engagement and performance management, employee records maintenance, devising and implementation of personnel policies, employee welfare and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain excellent relations with both the employees and the members of the community, including relevant outsourced activities

The ideal candidate should possess a BSc Degree specialised in HR from a recognised University and/or equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution. Further he/she possesses minimum of 5-8 years of post-qualifying experience in the HR field. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial grade in a star class hotel will be a definite advantage. 

The chosen candidate should be willing to serve in any of our properties spread across Sri Lanka.
