Our client is a leading conglomerate with more than 75 years of solidity enjoying a group turnover over LKR 30 Bn, offering a multitude of product ranges, is seeking for a dynamic individual to lead their Internal Audit Team as the:

Chief Internal Auditor

You Should:

• possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Internal Auditor or embrace a senior management position in an Internal Audit Department liaising with the top managerial level or hold a Senior Audit position in a reputed Audit Firm.
• have the knowledge and ability to carry out internal audit assignments using a recognized software (such as ERP, SAP, Microsoft, Oracle)
• be a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA, Sri Lanka) (having a MBA will be an added advantage)
• own conceptual, financial, analytical, decision making and leadership skills at the highest level.

You will:

• formulate internal audit programmes, in order that all aspects of transactions are audited.
• design and develop scope and internal audit tools for appropriate audit steps.
• review compliance with established policies & procedures and appraise consistency and reliability of information.
• identify control and process weaknesses, document issues and provide evidential support for report recommendations.
• present reports, results and recommendations to the Audit Committee.
• liaise with the external auditors, in order that both external and internal audit functions could be carried out efficiently and effectively with minimum duplication of efforts and coordinate with Internal Audit Department of professional Firms.
