Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) founded in 1970 with the vision to nurture the skills of marketers for the growth and development of the marketing profession. SLIM was subsequently incorporated by act 41 of 1980 the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. SLIM is a member of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) and is the National body for marketing in Sri Lanka.

IT Officer

You will be expected to monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the Institute while attending to installing and configuring requirements of computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and application problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Maintain the existing ERP and other systems while being in alert for possible improvements
  • Testing and evaluating newly developed tools and reports
  • Maintaining an IT inventory

You work is not limited to the above. You are expected to work long hours when situations demand and high level of flexibility towards these requirements.
