Logistics Officer
Responsibilities:
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment and frequency
- Maintain reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records
- Evaluate the costs of transportation, services and inventory within the company budget and distribution strategy
- Ensure the protection of freight and vehicles in transportation
- Manage inbound and outbound logistic activities of the company
- Payments preparing, maintenance of staff records and maintenance of staff contracts and renewal of contracts according to the needs of the company
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and logistics activities
- Meet efficiency and timeliness targets set by the company
Should have 3-4 years of relevant Logistics / Transport experience in a well-established organisation. BSc in Transport and Logistics Management Degree is preferred. Experience in working in an ERP environment preferably SAP Business one as an added advantage.
