With over 25 hotels and resorts under the brands Heriance, Adaaran, and Aitken Spence Hotels & Resorts - Aitken Spence Hotels has presence in Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Oman and India. We require the services of a dynamic, result oriented and highly motivated individual to be a part of our team in one of our Hotels located near Colombo.

Accountant

The ideal candidate should possess a BSc. in Finance and Accounting and a professional qualification in CIMA/ICASL/ACCA. A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar capacity is required. Sound knowledge in Enterprise Risk Management systems and Internal Controls preferably in Audit, excellent leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work within a team, good computer skills (MS Excel and ERP) and attention to detail are key competencies sought. The ideal candidate should be approximately 35 years of age.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Handling financial accounting and management Information Systems (MIS)
• Implementing budgetary controls
• Assuming responsibility for financial reporting in all divisions
• Preparing financial statistics, variance reports and reconciliations
• Monitoring and controlling costs
