Executive - Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the department head in planning the operations for the day by checking the transport requirements of the customers
  • Explore the market and negotiate beneficial terms and conditions in order to develop and sustain the transport supplier base
  • Ensure timely delivery of consignments by calling drivers, monitoring GPS and container movement
  • Engage in all documentation and invoicing relating to transport operations
  • Handle suppliers effectively and accurately by sending POs and arranging payments on time
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and supplier in order to ensure smooth operation and continued business at all times
  • Assist in maintaining good standards in the office with zero accidents and zero nonconformity

Candidates Profile:

  • A minimum of 3 passes at the G.C.E. A/L examination
  • 6 "Credit" passes at the G.C.E. O/L examination including Mathematics and English
  • Degree in Logistics or a related field would be an added advantage
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar field
  • Good command of English and Sinhala
  • Ability to ride motor bikes
