Senior Software Engineer – Mobile Applications

Description:

Qualifications:

(Required)

  • A strong academic background that includes a relevant degree Computer Science or equivalent/higher
  • 3+ years of enterprise-level software programming experience
  • Strong background in algorithms, data structures, reflection and SQL
  • Fluency in mobile standards, patterns, devices and mobile technologies
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying mobile apps on Android, iOS and Windows
  • Desire to learn and apply new technologies, frameworks and patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.

(Desired)

  • Proficiency using modern web development technologies and techniques, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Responsive Design, web services, SOA, etc.
  • Experience with the .NET and .NET Compact frameworks
  • Experience with Java frameworks
  • Experience with data exchange formats such as JSON and XML
  • Experience with wireless, ERP integration, GPS, Azure Cloud, data synchronization

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop powerful, high-value, high-quality mobile software solutions.
  • Implement and iterate new product features in an agile development environment.
  • Create an outstanding UX for our mobile application users.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects based upon customer and quality assurance feedback.
  • Research new mobile platforms, frameworks, patterns and technologies.
  • Help ensure successful customer implementations.
  • Work together with Support, Documentation, Consulting, Sales and Training teams.
