EFutures Private Limited is a leading provider of software and web solutions in Sri Lanka. We are currently expanding our operations in the local & international market and are on the lookout for the following individuals to fill the vacancies available in our company immediately.

Head of IT

Responsibilities:

• You will be tasked with managing our entire hosting infrastructure across development stating and production environments
• Your work will include recommending, upgrading and maintaining current Linux systems, database administration (MySQL), source control administration and network security

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent experience with systems engineering certifications
• 8+ years' experience with Red Hat/CentOS Linux administration
• Experience in maintaining Apache, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres
• Familiarity with networking, Cisco switches and firewalls, DNS, NFS, NIS, LDAP
• Knowledge of MS Windows and Mac OS X
• Experience with VMware ESX and vSphere
• Knowledge of Shell scripting (bash, awk, perl, python)

Experience:

• Prior experience in Managing a Team
• Enterprise level Linux expert experienced in managing an estate with load-balanced web servers and distribution systems like Red Hat
• MySQL administration & tuning
• Load Balancing
• Configuration and maintenance of web administration consoles
• Network & System Security, Enterprise level network / system security experience is valuable
• Automation Experience. We believe in automating tasks to make our work easier, and we'll want you to play a key role in helping us do that
• Web development experience will be a bonus. You don't necessarily need to able to write code for HTML, PHP & JavaScript to do this job, but if you have some knowledge, so much the better

Competencies:

• Candidates should possess a good command of spoken English
• Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, a penchant for security and expert-level system administration skills and strong communication
• Skills to collaborate with other Group personnel
• We are seeking talented LAMP system administrators to manage our web hosting infrastructure
