Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) founded in 1970 with the vision to nurture the skills of marketers for the growth and development of the marketing profession. SLIM was subsequently incorporated by act 41 of 1980 the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. SLIM is a member of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) and is the National body for marketing in Sri Lanka.

Cashier

Job Purpose:
Carryout cashiering function, deposit sales proceeds on the following day afternoon at the bank and adopt effective controls on petty cash payments.

Job Role:

• Preparing & issuing receipts for cheques, cash & credit cards
• Banking of cheques and cash on daily basis and balancing the cash payments every evening
• Encashing the petty cash cheques required for daily operations

Qualifications:

• Good A/L results coupled with part qualifications in AAT
• Must possess fair knowledge of computer literacy
• Basic Communication Skills in English
• Minimum 2 years hands on experience in cashiering
• Must be a good team player who could work with minimum Supervision
• Experience & knowledge in handling ERP Systems would be an added advantage
