Junior Executive - Card Operations (Card Settlements & Reconciliation)

The Job:

• Responsible for the reconciliation of Credit / Debit / Prepaid card transactions against the channel wise settlements
• Responsible for preparation and submission of monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliation reports
• Ensure any losses, irregularities and/or variances are reported and corrective actions are recommended in a timely manner
• Provide necessary information to relevant business lines within the stipulated timeframe
• Preparation and submission of Statutory and Internal returns
• Provide assistance for new system / process implementations and perform User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
• Coordinate with branches and departments related to card settlements / standing instructions
• Preparation of department budget and processing of vendor payments
• Manage VISA, MasterCard and related operations & LankaPay Common ATM Switch related Operations & Reconciliations
• Adhere to operating regulations, Exchange Control, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other regulatory bodies with regard to Card settlements / reconciliation

The Person:

• Possess more than 6 years of banking experience out of which 2 years should be in a supervisory role in a Card Settlement and Reconciliation department
• Possess a degree or equivalent higher educational qualification related to Banking or Finance
• Should be able to manage and lead a team
• Ability to pay attention to detail and be accurate
• Should be proactive, able to work under pressure and ensure delivery as per laid down timelines
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
