The following position awaits you:

Assistant Manager - IT

While reporting directly to the Hotel Manager you will be responsible for: 

During Pre-Opening:

  • Preparing I.T. Configurations specifying standard I.T. hardware & software for the hotel
  • Preparing I.T. Budget including all I.T. requirements & outlet listing
  • Providing consultation for I.T. implementation plan of hotel systems
  • Preparing I.T. cabling requirements
  • Carrying out project meetings, site survey and reporting on project progress 

During Post-Opening:

  • Providing first level support for all information technology systems within the hotel
  • Ensuring the standard configuration of all I.T. systems are in line with the ONYX Corporate IT Policy
  • Providing round the clock on call I.T. support to all departments of the hotel and guests
  • Communicating and coordinating with all local external suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Providing systematic scheduled maintenance of server, hardware and peripherals
  • Tracking all software licenses to ensure legal compliance
  • Ensuring system downtime is coordinated effectively to minimize disruption to hotel operations
  • Ensuring timely back-ups are performed, verified and stored safely

While experience in Hotel I.T. is mandatory, the successful candidate has:

  • A Bachelor's degree in I.T., Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Pre-Opening experience in the Hospitality I.T. field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Opera, Micros, Delphi, HIRS and Payroll Systems
  • Strong communication skills with an excellent command of English both written and spoken.
  • Mature Personality with customer focus attitude
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the position listed herein
