Database Administrator cum Server Administrator

Database Administrator cum Server Administrator

The selected candidate will be responsible for;

Job Profile

  • Managing Oracle, DB2 and SQL databases
  • Capacity Planning
  • Performance tuning including Database, Storage and Servers
  • Maintaining high availability covering backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
  • Testing and applying timely upgrades and patches to Databases and Servers Restoring and recovering backups of Databases and Servers periodically as well as on demand
  • Implementing security and audit requirements as per the Information Security Management System
  • Evaluating and recommending new Database and Server technologies
  • Adhering to Change Management policy and procedures

Applicant's Profile

  • Degree in IT
  • Oracle Certified Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
  • Microsoft and Linux Server Certificates are additional advantages
  • Sound knowledge of Databases and Database Management technologies for Oracle, MS SQL, MySql, Windows and Linux Server operations and administration
  • Sound communication, interpersonal, problem solving and project management skills
  • Minimum of 02 years experience in Oracle Database Administration
  • Minimum of 03 years experience in Server Administration
