Payments Clerk

Ideal Applicant should:

  • have passed G.C.E. A/L preferably in Commerce stream
  • have a part qualification from a recognised Accounting Body will be an advantage
  • be able to work in a computerised environment
  • possess 1 to 2 years work experience in similar capacity

Job profile of the Payment Clerk is as follows:

  • To perform the day today processing of accounts payable transactions
  • Preparing vendor cheques and data entering for payments, receive and verify invoices and purchase orders for stocks and services items
  • Prepare weekly stock and service aging reports
  • Maintaining and filing all payment related documents
  • To charge expenses to generate ledger accounts and cost centers by analysing invoicing / expense reports
  • Preparation of various reports related to the payment section for adult purposes
