Imports Clerk

Job Accountabilities:

• Liaise regularly with overseas offers, partners or agents
• Responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork, which documents the nature of the goods being imported
• Involve in checking import quotas, tariffs, trade agreements and Customs regulations are in order
• Responsible for costing jobs and ensuring maximum profitability to organisation
• Establishing contacts and relationships with Customs to ensure efficient transfer of goods through the legal process
• Data entry on shipment tracking for import shipments
• Responsible for providing, updating, and maintaining reports needed for tracking of all inbound shipments
• Processing of invoices in a timely manner for Accountable Payable which include invoice auditing, bill disputes, GL coding, sorting, obtaining proper approvals, and recording information

Qualifications:

• 1-2 year's experience as an Import Clerk is compulsory
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good numeric skills are required
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel, Office etc
• Basic computer literacy
