Assistant Financial Controller

Location: Hotel Sigiriya

• Preparation and submission of monthly Financial Statements and other management reports in accordance with management specifications
• Handling of external audits to meet deadlines specified by senior management
• Planning and implementing of internal controls and continuous monitoring of hotel operations to ensure the compliance with procedures and controls as laid down
• Management of debtors, creditors and inventory to ensure better working capital management
• Suggesting and implementing ways of improving efficiency, effectiveness and the operations including the financial reporting system of the company
• Planning and preparation of annual budgets with the coordination of heads of other departments
• Reviewing the existing procedures for the identification, control and monitoring of risks associated with the achievement of business objectives of the company

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in the finance field and a minimum of 2 years' experience as an Accountant
• BSc Degree specialised in Accounting from a recognised University and/or possess ICASL/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills
