Associated Motorways (Private) Limited, popularly known as AMW, fully-owned subsidiary of Al Futtaim Group (AFG) of United Arab Emirates, is one of the pioneers in the Automotive industry in Sri Lanka for more than 65 years. AMW is a diversified company, driven by mainly four sectors, namely Automotive, Manufacturing, Leasing & Finance and Property.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience and career aspirations to lead the Group Internal Audit department and willing to provide management with an objective, independent assessment of the internal control systems through planning and execution of audit assignments. He/She will also be responsible for the delivery of the overall audit plan, reporting to audit committees & management and developing the team. Being part of AFG - Group Internal Audit, he/she is required to adhere to the group audit manual and apply common audit methodology across the company.

Job Accountabilities:

• Identify key risks at the local entity considering the relevant strategies and business environment
• Develop the annual audit plan by considering the risks identified at Group Level, input from management and the audit committee and present to the Audit Committee as and when required
• Plan, lead and execute audits and evaluate the adequacy of controls according to established schedule and quality
• Direct the preparation of the annual audit plan and schedules, audit committee reports, monthly reports and fulfil other regional or local reporting requirements
• Delivery of the annual audit plan within established budget parameters
• Provide continuous feedback to management to improve processes and practices

Job Specifications:

• Minimum 10-12 years of internal / external audit experience in Commercial / Financial related industry, with a minimum of 5 years exposure in a similar / managerial capacity
• BSc degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking from a recognised university
• Fully qualified in CA / ACCA or any other reputed accounting professional qualification
• Excellent analytical skills, written / verbal communication skills & presentation skills
• Proactive, detailed oriented and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge in audit tools and other software such as ACL (data analytic tools)
