Deputy General Manager - Branch Operations

The ideal candidates should have a solid background in the field of Banking & Finance, ideally in leading a cluster of branches with the ultimate objective of achieving set business goals for the profitability of the Company by adhering to set standards. An outgoing personality with the ability to motivate & drive the staff including Sector Heads under your purview and a professional approach to each act of operational initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a specific plan of action in consultation with the Director - Operations to enhance the asset base through appropriate investment product mix in order to maximize the return on investment without exposing to undue risks.
  • Drive the Sector Heads & the Branch staff to achieve the set business goals for each product by providing proper directions & motivating the staff to unleash their full potential.
  • To have a thorough understanding about the emerging market trends in relation to the Company's products and search of new profitable business avenues for the branches and propose the profitable opportunities for implementation.
  • Monitor and ensure that the set targets for Recovery & Collection are met for each investment product of all branches under your purview.
  • Adopt marketing & business promotional initiatives by driving the Sector Heads and Branch staff to promote Company's products among the customers by liaising with the Head of Marketing.
  • Monitor and ensure that the branches are carrying out their business operations in line with the predetermined policies & procedures set by the Company and regulatory compliance.
  • Diagnose the courses for the performance lapses of the staff and propose a suitable methodology to develop them and encourage them for continues learning for their career enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree from a recognized university in the disciplines of Business Administration/ Accounting & Financing or equivalent and be an Associate member of a professional body.
  • Post graduate qualification from a reputed Institution will be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of experience in Branch operations in a reputed Bank or a financial institution out of which Eight ( 8) years should be at senior managerial level.

Age: preferably below 45 years for both posts
