Transportation Coordinator

We are on the lookout for a young self motivated individual who has the passion and drive coordinate the function of air uplifting, domestic trucking and shuttle infrastructure of our Gateway operations. The suitable candidate would report to the Gateway Manager.

Job Profile:

  • Predominantly being responsible for the coordination the Air uplifting, domestic trucking and shuttle infrastructure of our Gateway operations
  • Ensure services remain cost-effective through effective management and continuous improvement of optimal airline and trucking cost and service mix
  • Establish and flight scheduling and allocation lodgement to guarantee the timely air transportation of shipments
  • Provide forecasting and planning data to support network and local country business plans
  • Represent DHL and build up good relationship with Airlines, Ground Handling Agents and other stakeholders
  • Setup the contingency plan with the alternative flight schedule and spare allocation

Personal Profile:

  • Diploma in transportation or logistics
  • 2 years' experience preferably with an airline or the Ground Handling Agent, Transportation or logistics industry with Basic cargo and cargo tariff calculations knowledge coupled with considerable domain knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills of oral & written with proven negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work in a network environment
