Trainee Student Counselor
The suitable candidate should be of pleasant and ongoing personality, energetic, self-motivated, positive minded who is willing to take responsibilities and initiatives to handle assigned task within specific time limits, He/She should be adaptable to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Job Profile:
- Guide students to select suitable study programmes
- Educate students of their career decisions and provide help to pursue their goals
- Holding various sessions with the students to identify the problems and try to understand their difficulties to advise them
- Working as a mediator between the student and the Institute
- Establish and maintain close links with a wide range of academic and administrative staff and student services
- Making informational presentations to students and parents
- Recording and following-up enquiries and forwarding enquiries to the respective offers / coordinators
- Ensure confidentiality, data protection and process data
- Ability to work on both Saturday & Sunday (5 working days)
Personal Profile:
Diploma or any other professional qualification accepted by the IPM
Completion of a degree will be an added advantage
An excellent command in both English & Sinhala languages
Ability to take initiatives and take leadership to complete the assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
Excellent computer skills
Training allowance for above position is negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
