Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC, a prestigious public quoted company with a foreign collaboration and a reputation as one of Sri Lanka's premier cement manufacturers, requests applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position to be based at its factory in Trincomalee.

Management Accountant

Location: Trincomalee

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, development and efficient functioning of management accounting system
• Planning, forecasting and formulating annual budget and implementing budgetary controls
• Analyse basic historical data and make periodical forecast and performance measurement plans and present them to senior management to assist its operational decision making
• Analyse and report on individual product profitability, direct customer profitability and profitability on customer / product segments and make recommendation to the management
• Analysing, interpreting and presenting, manufacturing and company's internal operational cost
• Estimate the cost of raw material, labour, manufacturing and company's internal operational cost
• Design and framework of cost control reports that's generate usual information at appropriate time
• Lead the procurement department ensuring that it maintains updated data on suppliers product and prices
• Evaluate prospective suppliers on criteria such as supplier capability, lead time and quality measures
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications & expectations
• Call for quotation for products to be purchased and evaluate them and make recommendation to purchasing committee
• Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms
• Responsible for maintaining and reviewing all records of purchased goods, their cost and deliveries

Candidate Profile:

• Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka or Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK) or Associate member of Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA)
• Have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to work in ERP accounting software system operating environment
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and meet internal and external deadlines
• Be an excellent team worker to deliver results to the management on a timely manner
• Be in the age group 25-40 years
