Web Production Officer, Global Publishing Services

Job Description:

The Digital Publishing (DP) team in Global Publishing Services (GPS) of HSBC Group provides a range of services which support Group communications and marketing teams to effectively deliver their messages online.

The Web Production Officer will be responsible for content management operations of both internal and external websites of the HSBC Group. This will involve producing web pages and content fragments, as well as limited bespoke XHTML code, using a range of HSBC Group-owned web content management system, and publish content online that fit project requirements and adhere to content and design guidelines as well as established industry standards and best practices.

The jobholder's main responsibilities are:

  • Managing content of websites using content management systems such as BDE (Business Development Environment), SiaB (Site In a Box), GCMS (Group Content Management System), Sharepoint and Sitecore
  • Website migration management, including scoping and execution
  • Website rebranding management, including scoping and execution
  • Cross-platform website management / administration
  • Reporting on the adherence of content management activities to defined client performance levels in terms of time and cost

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education - either at the degree level or a relevant professional diploma or certificate
  • 3-8 years of relevant / related working experience
  • Online content management experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of standards-based HTML and XHTML
  • Experience with CSS and JavaScript is desirable
  • Experience with scanning, illustration, slide creation and image manipulation to support website management and production
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Structured, systematic working style
  • Able to work as a part of a team
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn
  • Can maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced work atmosphere
  • Flexibility in working different shifts when required
  • Available to work overtime on weeknights and weekends if necessary
  • Experience managing a team is a plus
