Firewall Administrator

Job Role:
The Firewall Administrator will be involved in all aspects of administering, managing and monitoring checkpoint and CISCO security appliances, log analysis and security event management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Monitor, analyze and resolve system security violations
  • Monitor, analyze and resolve wired and wireless network security violations
  • Monitor, analyze and resolve virus infections on servers and workstations
  • Analyze system, network, and firewall logs for security violations and determine root cause
  • Mitigate security vulnerabilities across all system
  • Perform intrusion testing on network, servers and workstations
  • Provide account security management for end users of the system and workstation applications
  • Maintain strong working relationships with IT partner teams, colleagues, clients and vendors
  • Delivery of medium to high complexity process documentation

Academic / Professional Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Security is preferred
  • Certificates in Computer / Network Security includes: CCSA - Check Point Certified Security
  • Administrator, CCSE - Check Point Certified Security Expert, CCNA Security, CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Skilled in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years in Firewall Administration in an Executive capacity
  • Active Directory, Microsoft operating systems, Mobile and Telecom Configuration, Network and VPN Configuration and Troubleshooting
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting experience

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, strong attention to details, excellent problem solving and follow-up skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a project based environment
  • Ability to complete high quality deliverables and to provide extraordinary service
