Assistant Manager - Human Resources

Job Role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Assistant Manager - Human Resources will be responsible for the smooth operation of the HR Department whilst achieving the KPIs and other standards set for the Department.
  • The position requires extensive knowledge of all HR functions such as talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, training and development, HRIS etc
  • The person is required to design and implement best people management strategies whilst updating the management on best HR practices and current trends from time to time
  • The person will be responsible for in aligning all HRM & D functions of the Company to the Corporate Strategy in order to gain the competitive advantage through its most valuable asset; the Employees
  • The job holder will be required to strengthen the HR operational work whilst meeting the set KPIs and service standards in order to maintain employee satisfaction
  • He/she will design, implement and deliver the learning and development initiatives of the Company focusing on an array of employees development needs
  • The job will also require the position holder to travel to branches and maintain a very good rapport with Distribution Managers and Employees attached to the Branch Network

The Person

  • At least 3 years as a Senior HR Executive at a leading organization together with a Degree in HR/Professional Qualification in HR is essential
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry will be an added advantage
  • Post graduate qualification / MBA will be a definite advantage
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement strategic HR initiatives within a complex business environment together with apt leadership attributes and skills are also prerequisites
  • Should be an empathetic, positive minded, dynamic self-driven individual
  • Problem solving and decision making competencies together with time management and prioritization capabilities are also required
