Internal Audit Executive

Job Role:
The selected individual will be responsible for examining and evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness of the organisations internal control system and procedures, whilst recommending corrective actions to improve operations, enhance internal controls and reduce cost where possible.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in audit department developments and work programmes (Development of flow charts and process charts for key operational areas)
• Assist in carrying out internal audits and effective implementation of audit recommendations
• Carryout special tasks assigned to group internal audit and report findings in a timely manner
• Assist to identify organisation risk management, control and governance approach and recommend any corrective / additional measures if necessary

Requirements:

• Partly or fully qualified in ICASL / CIMA / ACCA or similar professional qualification
• A minimum or 2 years audit experience in a similar industry or an audit firm
• Excellent communication skills in English (Reading / Report Writing / Presentation)
• Excellent PR skills and pleasing personality
• Good analytical and report writing skills
• Skilled in MS Office packages
• Experience in IT auditing will be an added advantage
• Should be flexible to travel out of Colombo on assignments
