Business Analyst

The complexity of the business environment today necessitates an organisation's need for adaptability, flexibility, and essentially the means to manage constant change through innovation. Traditional methods are almost obsolete and will not be conducive towards achieving objectives in a volatile economic environment. We have identified this element and require detailed and efficient business analysis as a proactive measure to meet the challenges of business volatility. The Business Analyst's primary objective will be to understand the requirements of the business unit, and assist our software developers in implementing technology driven solutions in a cost-effective manner. LB Finance is looking for a dynamic individual who can take up this challenge.

The Role

• Assessing and eliciting requirements of the relevant business unit and translating it into functional specifications
• Carrying out the process of requirements analysis and understanding the user expectation. This includes gap analysis, systems analysis and product evaluation
• Continually managing the requirements with the relevant business unit and communicating same to the relevant stake holders of the Company
• Performing the project management activities
• Supporting the QA and UAT to ensure that the specs are delivered

Requirements:

• Experience of 2-3 years in a similar capacity within the Banking and Finance sector with a proven track record
• An University Graduate with a specification in Mathematics, Finance or IT. A Masters degree will be an added advantage
• Excellent command of English both spoken and written
• Conversant with Banking, Enterprise Resource Planning and Financial Applications
• Understanding of the software development life cycle, and relational databases. Knowledge of the unified modeling language, SQL will be an added advantage
