With many global culinary feats and awards under its belt which include five Mercury Awards from the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA), the company is equipped with a state of the art Flight Kitchen for the production of food and beverage to the highest quality standards. Srilankan Catering is the sole caterer at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka. The company is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person for the above post.

Management Accountant

The company is looking for a Management Accountant to ensure that the company has sound costing and management accounting systems to support competitive decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, monitor and control process of corporate budgeting / planning, in line with company policies and procedures
• Develop, review and circulate annual budget guidelines / assumptions
• Develop and maintain a budgetary tracking systems for all expenses
• Analyse actual performances and evaluate variances and recommend appropriate actions
• Develop a sound cost accounting system to measure the product costing against the standard costing and review variances
• Develop / update the management information reporting framework and templates including defining the models for data and information gathering
• Develop, review and update monthly, quarterly and yearly financial models / forecasts / analysis
• Ensure conducting reviews and recommendations on cost-reduction strategies / measures
• Ensure timely generation of periodic reports for use by management for strategic decision making

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Full qualification in CA, CIMA or ACCA
• A finance degree from a recognised university
• Practical knowledge in Accounting standards and statutory reporting
• Ability to work in an ERP environment is a must
• Strong leadership skills, negotiation skills, problem solving and innovative thinking are essential
• Planning and organisation skills coupled with a methodical approach to work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proven track record with a recognised manufacturing company in a similar capacity for a minimum of seven (7) years
• Should be below 40 years of age
