Assistant Accountant

The ideal candidate should possess the G.C.E. A/L qualification and a Degree / Professional Qualification in Finance / Accounting from a reputed institute. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar capacity is essential to perform this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high level of accuracy, computer literacy and high attention to detail are key competencies sought.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Assuming responsibilities for all functions of the General Ledger
• Assuming responsibility of all functions of Accounts Payable including Airline Billing & Settlement Plan (BSP)
• Arranging bank remittences for foreign / local suppliers
• Preparing monthly MIS reports including Head Office / Branch Accounts
• Reviewing and approving bank reconciliations
• Liaising with external auditors as required
