Accountant / Head of Finance

Qualifications & Experience:

• A fully qualified accountant from a recognised accounting body (ICA / CIMA / ACCA)
• Minimum five years of post qualifying experience in a managerial capacity preferably in a manufacturing company
• A Degree from a recognised University specialised in Finance / Accounting will be an added advantage
• Excellent analytical and organising skills with the ability to evaluate and review work of a team 
• A highly self-motivated professional
• Good IT skills and exposure is a sophisticated ERP environment
• Superior communication / negotiation and presentation skills
• Should be able to work under pressure independently prioritising work among multiple tasks under minimum supervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Should be capable of preparing financial statements, financial reviews and ad-hoc reports to management
• Should be conversant in management accounting aspects such as budgeting, monitoring vacancies against budgets, performance reviews, product costing, pricing, profitability analysis etc
• To handle functions of the finance department (AP, AR, GL etc)
• Computerisation of relevant taxes, compiling of returns and liaising with IRD
• To monitor and implement (where necessary) internal controls to ensure smooth functioning of processes
• Liaise with financial institutions, external auditors and various other stakeholders
