Accounts Assistant - Intern

Job Role:

• Processing of payments for Service Providers and receipting funds received to Bank Accounts
• Preparation of Bank Reconciliations and Cashflow Management
• Preparation of Trading Reconciliations and Valuation of Investments, Borrowing and other balance sheet captions in accordance with IFRS
• Assisting in preparation of Financial Statements (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual) in accordance with IFRS
• Preparation of Financial Reports for Regulatory Institutions (SEC/CSE etc)
• Preparation of MIS Reports for Management
• Assisting the Accountant in compilation of Annual Budgets
• Liaising with clients in providing balance confirmations and queries (if any)
• Liaising with the Banks for account opening, closure, obtaining and enhancement of facilities
• Liaising with Internal and External Auditors in providing audit related information / queries
• Any other adhoc finance related functions required by the Management

Profile:

• Intermediate level in CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA
• Minimum work experience of one year in the mercantile sector or audit experience via a recognised Audit Firm
• Computer literacy and familiarity with accounting package
• Ability to meet the reporting deadline
• Experience in Financial Institutions is preferred
