Officer - Internal Audit

The Job:

• Assist to conduct internal audits in a professional, impartial and unbiased manner and avoiding conflict of interest.
• Perform the assigned audit work with due professional care and in accordance with the standards of the professional practice of Internal Auditing.
• Contribute towards effective implementation of the Bank's Internal Audit Functions as detailed below.
  Conduct audit engagements according to the annual audit plan approved by the Board Audit Committee.
  Assist in preparing the Annual Audit Plan.
  Prepare the draft audit reports.
  Attend the audit engagement initial meeting and subsequent discussions.
  Conduct follow-up on audit reports.
  Coordinate with auditee and conduct the audit.
  Assist in conducting investigations and prepare reports.
  Update audit programmes on an ongoing basis.
  Carry out assignments given by the Head of Audit.
  Maintain audit evidence in an orderly manner.
  Responsible to follow up on Audit findings and ensuring the rectifications are done on timely manner.
  Coordinate with the management and the outsourced audit partner in resolving issues and follow up with the audit assignments.
  Assist in Head of Audit in improve the Internal Audit function through system solutions.

The Person:

• Should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking along with preferably 2 to 3 years of experience in Internal Audit or 3 to 5 years of experience in External Audit field.
• Should possess a qualification in Banking / a Degree or a relevant professional qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good analytical skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal attributes with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably.
• Work independently with minimum or no supervision.
• A good work ethic and the ability to appreciate different points of view.
