Accountant

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery of monthly financial statements.
• Analyse P&L and advice management on changing scenarios of company profitability.
• Analyse variances and highlight to management, impact on company profitability.
• Profitability analysis on sales channels, product categories and analysis on overhead costs etc.
• Prepare board presentations and other reports for the monthly meetings.
• Annual budget preparation.
• Cost accounting related areas.
• Coordination of external audit and finalisation of annual audited financial statements.
• Assisting and monitoring the Balance Sheet clearance and identify areas of improvement.
• Carry out comprehensive check on general ledger continuously to ensure that accounting is in line with SLASs/SLFRSs and continuous improvements to the account closure process.

Educational Qualifications and Experience / Skills Required:

• Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICASL)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in combined accounting and finance experience in a similar capacity (Manufacturing Industry).
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP is mandatory.
• Cost accounting experience.
